Our services are driven by wonderful volunteers! We have a wide array of needs within the Help Center. These needs are met by volunteers like you, donating their time and talents. Take a look at some of the options. Do you have another skill you’d like to offer? Let us know!

SORTING
Sort through donated food and clothing. Check dates on food, inspect clothing for quality. Some lifting may be required.

FOOD ORDERS
Accept delivery of weekly Second Harvest Food orders. Check delivery for accuracy, date boxes, and put food onto labeled shelves in stockroom.

CLEANING
Our cleaning team is very important in keeping our facility looking great. Sweeping, mopping, bathroom cleaning, etc. are part of the duties.

HANDY HELP
Help complete monthly schedule of building and vehicle maintenance. We have several minor needs for repairs and/or projects.

CLIENT SERVICE
Our client service volunteers assist our clients during their trip to the food shelf or clothing center. Work one-on-one with clients through the intake and shopping process.

STOCKING
Our stocking team works after our service hours bringing items out of storage and placing them on the shelves in the shopping area. Ability to lift required. Flexible hours.

MOBILE
Take client delivery orders by phone. Food packing teams and delivery teams are needed. Delivery is for seniors and disabled people. Several volunteer teams needed.

FOOD RESCUE
As a food rescue volunteer you will be visiting local participating businesses and picking-up quality food products to bring back to the food shelf. Some heavy lifting required.
